After learning more in August about the upcoming Air Jordan 4<\/a> Retro “Rare Air,” a first look at the 2025 sneaker release has surfaced on social media.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n As expected, the shoe features a black-based suede design which is most reminiscent of the classic “Bred” Air Jordan 4 but boasts a handful of key differences. The new “Rare Air” look adds blue accents on the midsole, heel, liner and shoelaces. There’s also a yellowed portion of the midsole near the back which gives the shoe a pre-aged look.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n But the biggest detail that separates this pair from standard Air Jordan 4 Retros is its Velcro tongue tag. Based on the early images, the ’25 “Rare Air” Jordan 4 features a white rubberized tongue with blue Jumpman branding and a red reverse side with “23” text representing Michael Jordan’s jersey number.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In related Air Jordan 4 news, one of the model’s most coveted colorways is also due for a return in ’25 as two different versions of Undefeated’s Air Jordan 4 collaboration<\/a> are expected in June. Even sooner, the popular “Fear” Air Jordan 4<\/a> will be reissued in November. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Given its “Rare Air” designation, fans shouldn’t be surprised if this “Black\/Fire Red\/Deep Royal Blue\/Dark Smoke Gray\/Tech Gray” colorway is released in limited numbers next year. The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Rare Air” is on schedule to be released from select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike’s SNKRS app on Feb. 15 for a retail price of $215. Further updates on the sneaker are expected soon. <\/p>\n Update: Aug. 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. ET<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Originally rumored to feature laser-printed etching on its upper, new information has surfaced about an upcoming Air Jordan 4 which provides a clearer idea of what to expect upon its release.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Newly shared updates from sources including Instagram\u2019s @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files depict a fresh look for the 2025 \u201cRare Air\u201d Air Jordan 4. Instead of the laser upper originally expected, the pair will reportedly don a more traditional two-tone suede upper in black and dark gray. Color accents are aplenty, with the sneaker mixing bright red and royal blue shades throughout. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The latest update indicates that a feature the shoe will retain is its signature \u201cRare Air\u201d Velcro tongue patch, famously used on styles such as Undefeated\u2019s Air Jordan 4 collaboration \u2014 which is also due for a \u201925 launch<\/a>. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In addition to its \u201cRare Air\u201d tag, the sneaker is set to come in special edition packaging which references a 2000s-era Jordan Brand shoebox. That original box was silver, but this retro will reportedly come in a blacked-out version similar to what is pictured above. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n As of now, in-hand images of the Air Jordan 4 Retro \u201cRare Air\u201d aren\u2019t yet available, but the \u201cBlack\/Fire Red\/Deep Royal Blue\/Dark Smoke Gray\/Tech Gray\u201d makeup is expected to feature the color blocking pictured here.
